Martha Bergquist, Oxford, NE, has family stories from the 1950s' era that will have you totally immersed in this 1950s FUN CHAT!
As Martha worked alongside her grandma, the stories of a hard life on the Plains were told to her time and time again. Martha and her brother would even peddle up and down steep hills 1/2 mile away to their grandpa and grandma's house. Imagine accomplishing that feat of peddling this distance on a childhood tricycle? That was their mode of transportation--at least until they could talk someone into helping them saddle trusty old "Spot."
You'll learn about the WWII Prisoner of War Camps planted not far from Martha's home. With only black-and-white tv in their home, Martha's creativity amazingly turned black and white into color! All-in-all, Martha's stories will keep you "glued" to this 1950s FUN CHAT!
