Dr. Leslie Waters, Colville, WA, broke the Glass Ceiling for women in the field of medicine in northeast Washington.
Perhaps, it was her years in Girl Scouts at Long Island, NY, in which the motto, "Be Prepared," imprinted a lasting effect in her mind. Perhaps, it was her lifelong spirit of volunteering, including a time in Sri Lanka which helped build a sound "I can do it!" mindset.
Nevertheless, Leslie's professional journey and impact on young women in her area has been profound. Leslie is a "late arrival" to Baby Boomerism, yet her "I wanted to save the world" soul was truly influenced by the 1950s.
