The life story of Moffit, ND, rancher, historian, and friend, Karen Macdonald, is full of adventure, fun, and things you might not have known which had occurred in the 1950s.

Karen's life could have been complete as a professional nurse and nursing educator at Mary College in Bismarck. However, the sands in Karen's hourglass of life surprisingly took a U turn into the unknown and were drenched with interpreting the "learning by doing" ranching terminology of the ND prairie. Even today, as a "retired" nurse, her compassion for those in need sweetly and compassionately shines.
