"I loved the farm! I went to Iowa State University to marry a farmer, but that didn't work out," notes a smiling Bev Kruempel, Ames, IA.

This petite Iowa farm girl shares warm memories of her 1950s life when she worked lock-step with her dad, sharing duties of laborious farm work.

In 1961 President John F. Kennedy, established the volunteer non-military service opportunity of the Peace Corps. Bev's passionate heart said, "Sign me up!" Her Peace Corps experiences along with those farm-girl values opened doors of opportunity the rest of her life.

She's a fun chatterer you'll want to meet!...and who did she marry?
