Sisters Jean Lory and Joan Mathews spent their childhood in Des Moines, IA, in the 1930-1940s. Though five years apart in age, these years singularly shaped the individuals they became.
Now residing at Green Hills Community in Ames, Iowa, each of their unique stories demonstrates that though having been raised in the same family environment, their diverse personal and professional paths meandered toward separate forks in the roadways of 1950s' life.
As with many sisters, these differences are overshadowed by the fact that love of family secures the bond of sisterhood. As you enjoy their chat with Jackie and Janine, see if you identify with either story.
