Guest Steve Pietroburgo, March 27, 2023 (#81)

Steve Pietroburgo grew up in St. Louis, MO, in the 1950s, but how and why did this Midwesterner meander to the Pacific Northwest in his young adulthood?

This week's guest of North Dakota's The Pfeiffer Sisters chats about his tenure as a Boys Scout in the mid-20th century and the influence of those experiences that led to a career with the Department of the Interior in the Puget Sound area of Washington.

Later on, his job with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, gave him an entirely different opportunity to learn the art of working with other cultures. While listening to Steve, you'll discover his "secret" for crossing any cultural barriers that might surface in a relationship.

But wait! There is more to Steve's story! Aviation was coming into its own in the 1950s. From the simple lifestyle of watching planes land and take off at an airport on a Sunday afternoon to the soaring experiences of teaching others to fly, Steve tells about aviation "thrillers" that have fed his soul.
