Guest Kelly Tobin, August 25, 2025 (#207)

He's an innovator, steward of the land, and an Iowa Master Farmer. The virtue of perseverance has been part of his DNA since childhood. Kelly Tobin, was raised in northwest Missouri, farmed for years in southwest Iowa, and now calls Ames, IA, his home.

1950 was the year of his high school graduation. Five years later, Kelly married his bride, Irene. As the years moved on, they raised 4 talented sons and survived the 1984 Farm Crisis. Uniquely and determinedly, at age 52, Kelly pursued the life of a college student at Iowa State University where he graduated with a BS degree.
