Bonnie Schmidt, Fargo, ND, is sweeter than the sugar beet research in which she was immersed as an adult.

But, prior to sharing about that aspect of her life, she takes us back to her teenage years, especially where the Dairy Queen in Dickinson, ND, was the teenage hot spot.

Bonnie's dad was an REC lineman in the 1950s. His personally harrowing experiences of establishing electrical power to Badlands' ranchers will not only open your eyes to the dangers of that job but will also bring a smile to your face in gratitude to the "North Dakota Nice" people who live there.
