Oklahoma daughter, Becky Stone, now of Shawnee, lived a life which might have been similar to yours during the 1950s/60s.
Check out her memories of the GI Bill, "girls took home ec and boys took ag," the wheat harvest, 4-H, livestock judging, finding snakes in the chicken hen boxes as she gathered eggs, and the good ole brown paper Christmas kiddie bag which was received at school or church programs. Now, what sweet treats were in that gift bag? Were your treats the same as Becky's?
Enjoy the chat with Becky Stone, whose professional heart for teaching literacy stemmed from her childhood love of books.
